Verdict

DORIAN GRAY was sent off 40-1 for his Fibresand debut but acquitted himself much better than that starting price suggested when taking third in a novice event over 7f. The extra furlong here should suit and he is taken to get the better of Medici Oro, who ran well for third off this mark at Wolverhampton. Rock On Bertie has been going well at Newcastle of late, while Salire was not far away at Wolverhampton latest.

Verdict

DORIAN GRAY looks the type to do better now handicapping and seemed to take to the track last time. It's interesting that he's been brought back to Southwell given his yard's excellent record here. Rock On Bertie and Mr Carbonator have both shown plenty this year and should go well again if proving as effective on the fibresand.
